Thank you for spending December 3rd with us as we shared the incredible things happening in our city.

We met Sakina, a refugee from the DRC who now serves as our Refugee Services Reception and Placement Manager and has personally resettled nearly 300 people to Kansas City. We learned how she fell in love with her new home, her husband, and their new child, a Della Lamb early education student.

We learned about the hundreds of KC kids who have continued on to college by means of athletic scholarships thanks to our Youth Services program.

We enjoyed delicious food, a speed painter, aerial arts and Lost Wax. We illuminated the city and had a lot of fun doing it.

And, together, we raised over $200,000 to kickstart the next 125 years of Della Lamb. Your presence and generous gifts at the inaugural Illuminate the City gala are so deeply appreciated. Thank you.
